Infrared photography
This image is an infrared photograph; in other words, it was taken with a camera modified to detect near-infrared light, which the human eye cannot perceive.
In this light spectrum, different details emerge from those we normally see. Green vegetation and the leaves of trees, in particular, reflect a great deal of infrared light, making them appear white in such photographs, even when photographed in the summer.
Some artists apply colours to the image, in which case the colours of the photo are the result of the photographers artistic vision.
Personally, I prefer to render my infrared photographs in black & white, as the colours draws the viewer's attention and distract from the composition of the picture.
Framed Limited Edition Artwork
The artwork is supplied framed, ready to hang on the wall. It is mounted in a black-painted wooden frame.
The artwork is signed and numbered as part of a limited edition of 30 copies.
Dimensions
The picture measures 42 x 59.4 cm and is mounted in a 50 x 70 cm matte.
The frame is approx. 1 cm thick, so including the frame, the overall dimensions are 52 x 72 cm.
